Thanks to all who expressed interest in the Blasters. We will not be holding try outs for the Fall 2011 season.

Congratulations to the Blasters for earning 1st runner up in the Hershey Kicks 4 Kids Invitational! The boys battled through 3 games in high heat and humidity to make it all the way to the championship where we lost to a regional (higher than division 1) uber-team from the greater Philadelphia area.

The Blasters boys split into two teams for the 2011 Winter Futsal League at the Dulles Sportsplex. Blasters Black and Blasters Gold ended up going into the finals against each other, with Blasters Black coming out the victors.

Congratulations to the Blasters who won their final match with a 4-0 shut out to finish out the season with a win rate of 71% - a fine performance for their first futsal league, playing U11 and U12 teams!

Congratulations to the Blasters who took home the victory at Bull Run on Memorial Day weekend! The offense came through with enough goals to take home the gold, and the defense had the lowest goals scored against them of any other team in our age group. FANTASTIC job, Blasters!!!

The Blasters are to be congratulated for a very strong showing, offensively and defensively, in the Dulles Sportsplex Winter League for U10 boys. The Blasters forwards and midfielders put up a new team record of 61 goals, for the 2nd highest goal total in the league for both session 1 and session 2. The Blasters goal differential of 22 was also the second highest in both our league and tied for highest for session 1 results. Click on the link below to see the Blaster's results.

The Blasters were very successful at their first tournament of the season! They defeated their first opponent 6–0, lost 2–4 to our second opponent who went on to win the tournament, and won 6–0 in our final match. We had strong play from both offense and defense, with 5 of our 10 players scoring. To highlight the toughness our backfield delivered, one has to only look at our goal differential which was the 2nd highest – we put up 14 goals and gave up only 4 (one was a penalty shot).

We are all very much looking forward to a season of great soccer and strong play. Thanks to our Blaster parents who cheered loudly and supportively from the sidelines! And thanks to coach Ivan who succeeded in building in us a team, not individual, mindset with superb results!
