U11 and Up (Suburban Friendship League)

The U11 and Up Boys and Girls will be in the Suburban Friendship League (SFL). They will meet 3 times a week for eight weeks. They will have 2 weekday practice as well as games on Saturdays.

Weekday practice day/time/locations will be determined about 2 to 3 weeks before the season actually starts. The game/training schedules are set closer to the start of the season as well. The game schedules are determined by the (SFL), not Ashburn Soccer Club.

Each team will have one or two assigned volunteer coaches. These coaches will be the point of contact for the families on the team. The coach will be the one responsible for distributing the jerseys, pictures forms, and other forms that will need to be filled out by the families. There should also be a "team manager" who will help with coordinating snacks, informing the families of when/where to meet for the training sessions, information about picture day schedule, and distributing the pictures.

Each SFL player will need their own size #4 (U11 and U12) and size #5 (U13 and up) soccer ball, cleats, and shin guards. Players can wear any color shorts and will need socks that can cover the shin guards. Players should also have a water bottle to bring water with them to practice and training sessions.

If your child is playing in the SFL for the first time, then you will need to purchase a uniform package (SFL jerseys are different than the ones that you would have from the previous seasons) which includes 2 jerseys (white and gold), shorts, and socks. If your child is a returning SFL player and you already have the uniform (and it still fits) then you will not need to order the uniform package.
