U10 Boys and Girls

The U9 and the U10 age groups are combined.

The U10 (under 10 yrs.) Boys and Girls program meets 3 times a week for eight weeks. They will have 2 weekday practice as well as games/training on Saturdays.

Weekday practice day/time/locations will be determined about 2 to 3 weeks before the season actually starts. The game/training schedules are set closer to the start of the season as well.

The U10 teams have a professional trainer that works with the children and coach at the field for the first three Saturdays of the season. After the three weeks of training they will start to play games against other U10 teams.

Each U10 team will have one or two assigned volunteer coaches. These coaches will be the point of contact for the families on the team. The coach will be the one responsible for distributing the jerseys, pictures forms, and other forms that will need to be filled out by the families. There should also be a "team manager" who will help with coordinating snacks, informing the families of when/where to meet for the training sessions, information about picture day schedule, and distributing the pictures and trophies at the end of the season.

Each U10 player will need their own size #4 soccer ball, cleats, and shin guards. Players can wear any color shorts and will need socks that can cover the shin guards. Players should also have a water bottle to bring water with them to practice and training sessions.

If your child is playing with Ashburn Soccer Club for the first time, then you will need to purchase a uniform package which includes 2 jerseys (white and gold), shorts, and socks. If your child is a returning player and you already have the ASC uniform (and it still fits) then you will not need to order the uniform package.
